Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate Social Responsibility

“Making a difference to the individuals and communities we live and work amongst.”

At the heart of our core values is “We Care”, which is best exemplified through what our teams do whether through company-led activities or on their own as individual volunteers.

The creativity and We Care spirit of Fitness First teams around the world have helped many good causes. From raising funds for disaster relief, building homes for Typhoon victims, donation drives for orphanages, organizing fitness talks or public service announcements, donating blood or delivering books to build libraries, the spirit of We Care is alive in what we do, as company or as individuals. Our We Care value defines who we are and guides our passionate teams to help people from all walks of life change their lives for the better through fitness or a myriad of other ways.

Named the official fitness partner of the Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC) in 2015, Fitness First honoured 143 athletes for their contributions to Singapore’s sporting achievements through new initiative “Always A Champion”. The appreciation ceremony was held on 10 July 2017 at Capital Tower Sports Performance, where athletes across 20 sporting disciplines were presented with their own personalised “Always A Champion” card, giving them full access to Fitness First’s premium training and equipment offerings in Singapore and over 370 clubs globally, till year 2020. This meaningful gesture will support these Olympic heroes to and beyond the competition, where they continue to inspire future generations in sports participation.

Based on our belief that fitness can transform lives, we recently donated secondhand yet fully functional fitness equipment, along with workout attire to a local welfare home here in Singapore.

These items will be of great benefit to the residents of the Home, an organisation that houses more than 100 adults with physical, intellectual or mental impairment. Used for rehabilitation services, the Home will rely heavily on these equipment to improve the physical skills of the residents with the mission of eventually integrating them back into society.

Fitness First is committed to doing our part and together we will continue to look at various ways to give back to the community.

Fitness First’ 2016 Blood Donation Drive a Success

A total of 42 bags of blood were raised during the 2016 Fitness First blood donation drive. The programme, which was conducted in partnership with the Singapore Red Cross Society in the Fitness First club at One Raffles Quay on 29 September, was a success as it saw club staff and members, as well as individuals from the public, band together for a worthy cause.

The initiative is part of Fitness First Singapore’s Corporate Social Responsibility efforts to assist the Singapore Red Cross Society in growing the number of blood donations and donors nationally, as there is a need for more donations to meet the increasing demands.

Marketing efforts for the drive begun three weeks prior to the event, to raise awareness about the event and to educate the public about the benefits of donating blood. Fitness First plans to continue supporting this cause by organising annual blood donation drives.

Fitness First Singapore Supports Para Athletes in Their Goal for Gold

As a leading health and fitness company that prides itself on harnessing the sporting potential of all athletes, Fitness First is proud to be working in partnership with Singapore Disability Sports Council (SDSC) that will see the sponsorship of 12 para athletes in support of their journey to the 9th ASEAN Para Games.

This ongoing sponsorship made in March 2016 with SDSC represents our first initiative to work alongside athletes with disabilities in Singapore.

Under the agreement, Fitness First will offer Passport memberships to 12 non-carded athletes and four officials on the SDSC’s goalball team. The goalball team will be able to use Fitness First clubs as venues to train, as well as use the facilities on their own or with the aid of a companion.
