The person who is consistently sitting down for long hours at work, without much physical activity, is prone to becoming overweight
and will be susceptible to many diseases at an earlier age. This sedentary lifestyle will also impact his performance in the office,
not to mention his mental health and social relationships.
At the time I joined the gym, I weighed around 87kg (ideally it should have been 68kg). I was feeling uneasy because I was heavily overweight; further, my rising blood pressure was another indication of a future danger. One day in August 2007, I decided to work on my increasing weight, and signed up for a membership at Fitness First.
I believe that knowledge without a proper Guru (i.e. teacher / trainer) does not garner results and therefore I chose to have a personal trainer in Fitness First as well. Under one of the staff’s recommendation, I was introduced to the best trainer I could ever find – Mr. Iskandar at Capital Tower.
Iskandar took a step-by-step approach in working on the "Big and Heavy" challenge of my weight. He advised me about my eating habits and planned a diet for me which would nourish as well as provide me with the energy I needed without increasing my fat.
